Guardians of our Chamorro and Carolinian Legacy

Miss Northern Marianas Descent Foundation, Inc. was established with a commitment to preserve, promote, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Chamorro and Carolinian people. The foundation was created in recognition of the importance of safeguarding our identity, traditions, customs, and languages for future generations, especially as many aspects of our cultural knowledge face the risk of being lost gradually.

Through cultural education, community outreach, mentorship, leadership development, and interactive learning experiences, the foundation seeks to create opportunities for individuals of all ages to connect with their heritage. We strive to inspire pride in our indigenous identity while encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation of the history, values, and contributions of the Chamorro and Carolinian people of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Our mission extends beyond cultural preservation. We are dedicated to fostering cultural ambassadors who serve as role models within their communities, promoting service, leadership, respect, and stewardship. Through cultural workshops, demonstrations, storytelling, traditional arts, language revitalization efforts, and community engagement activities, we aim to ensure that the knowledge entrusted to us by our elders continues to live on and thrive.

By honoring our past, we hope to strengthen our present and empower future generations to carry forward the traditions, languages, and values that define who we are as Chamorro and Carolinian people.
