Keannalyn Diaz, 19 years old, proudly represents the Chamorro community.
She is a proud Chamorro woman and describes the Chamorro and Carolinian heritage, culture, and history - "as a rich and diverse heritage made up of Chamorro and Carolinian traditions, along with influences from other cultures over time. Our people value respect, family, faith, and community. We express our culture through dance, language, food, and celebrations."
Her role model is her mom - "because she is strong, hardworking, and always puts my family first, she motivates me to keep going no matter what."
Currently, Keannalyn is a student at the Northern Marianas College. Her goal is to become a Speech and Communication Disorder Specialist.
As a contestant for the Miss Northern Marianas Descent Beauty Pageant, she hopes to gain - "more confidence, new friends, and leadership skills. I also want to learn more about my culture and become a positive role model for others."
