Shared Purpose, Greater Impact

LAM (Lina'la Initiative Corp. and Miss Northern Marianas Descent Foundation, Inc.) is a dual nonprofit organization founded by its President, Rowina Ogo, with a vision of strengthening communities through service, cultural preservation, sustainability, and community empowerment. While LAM and its affiliated initiatives operate under separate boards of directors and maintain their own governance structures, their missions, goals, and purpose are closely aligned in promoting the well-being, resilience, and preservation of the communities they serve.

Because of this shared vision, many outreach efforts, programs, and community activities are carried out by the same dedicated volunteers and members who generously contribute their time, knowledge, and resources to support both organizations. This collaborative approach allows each organization to maximize its impact while remaining committed to its individual objectives and responsibilities.

At its core, LAM believes that meaningful change is best achieved through partnership, community involvement, and a collective commitment to preserving culture, supporting families, empowering future generations, and creating opportunities for sustainable growth. Through service, education, outreach, and advocacy, the organization continues to work alongside community members and partner organizations to address local needs while honoring the values and traditions that define the people of the Northern Mariana Islands.
